Christmas season can get pretty hectic and completing Christmas craft projects can seem like a chore considering all the shopping and baking you have to do. Snowflakes Make Great Christmas Craft Projects
Depending on where you live, your chances of seeing a white Christmas may be pretty slim. Unfortunately, Christmas just doesn’t seem complete if it’s not a white one. On the East Coast last year, much of the Mid Atlantic region greeted Christmas with record-high temperatures near 70 degrees, proving you can’t depend on Mother Nature to make your Christmases white. This Christmas craft project proves to be the ultimate solution.
If you want to guarantee a white Christmas, you’d better learn how to make your own snowflakes. Fortunately, making snowflakes is easy. In fact, it was one of my favorite activities during elementary school. If you have little ones, this Christmas craft project is easy enough so you can let them in on the fun.
Getting Started
For this easy Christmas craft project you will need white paper and scissors. That’s it. And I know you have scissors on hand, how else would you wrap all those Christmas presents?
Get a piece of white paper and fold it in half. Now fold it in half again. Take your scissors and cut out various shapes such as triangles or squares. You can even just make a few cuts of varying lengths too without cutting out a specific shape. Open it up and voila, your snowflake is complete. Now hang it up somewhere in your home. Make as many snowflakes are you wish.
Another Great Christmas Craft Project
This next super easy Christmas craft can actually be used as a gift this Christmas. If you have some nice pictures of friends and family from last Christmas, make extra copies of them. You can frame the pictures and decorate and personalize the outside of the frame.
There are a number of possibilities for how you can decorate the frames in this Christmas craft project. If you are very artistic, you can hand paint a design on the picture frame. If you are like most people, you might just want to stencil some Christmas designs onto the frame. Shop your local craft store for some seasonal stencils. Buy some paint to stencil on the designs you choose. You can personalize the frame by including the gift recipient’s name on the picture frame. This Christmas craft project can become a treasured gift for whomever you give it to.
Don’t let your hectic schedule make you the Christmas craft scrooge this year. Instead, have fun with these quick and easy Christmas craft projects.
