Who Else Wants To Spend Less Time Christmas Shopping?
How to make your Christmas shopping time count
Christmas shopping is an inevitable chore that many people dread. However, with a little planning, your Christmas shopping can be short and sweet. Being a new father, I don't have the time either, so here are a few things that I have learned.
I guess it's safe to say that we have even less time for Christmas shopping these days.
Thinking ahead
I don't expect everyone to think about their Christmas shopping for the next year as soon as the tree comes down, but it can make it a lot easier. Not only are there great Christmas sales, but you can also spread out the work over a longer period of time.
One way to attack Christmas shopping is to buy a person's Christmas present when you buy their birthday present.
Or you can keep a list of people that you would like to purchases gifts for with you every time that you shop. This way, your Christmas shopping can be done throughout the year.
Making that list and checking it twice
Much like the red-suited man, a list is an essential guide when you are Christmas shopping.
Start with the people that are most important to you: family and friends. You can even write down ideas for gifts for them. After you've done that, you will see the stores that you can find many of the items.
Efficient Christmas shopping begins with this sort of plan.
Look to see what stores you need to go to and then plan a day that takes you to those stores and on a route that will make it to each.
If you don't have any ideas for a particular person, you may find that this method of Christmas shopping may lead you to great ideas. You may realize that certain people have similar tastes and that you can buy the same things for them.
Christmas shopping can even be fun if you make a few plans ahead of time. With your list in hand, Christmas shopping can be fast and finished before you set out the milk and cookies.
