Three More Days to Bribe Your Kids with Santa
Santa will be here before you know it.
Okay, maybe it’s unethical, maybe it’s even cruel, but I tend to blackmail my kids with threats of Santa not coming and the way I look at it, I’ve only got three more days this year to get away with it. Not used to blackmailing your kids with Santa? Let me ease you into it.
The Closer We Get, The Better They Are
In general, the closer we get to Christmas the better the kids behave. Want your kids to clean their rooms? Tell them Santa isn’t coming to a messy house. Want your kids to stop pulling each other’s hair out? Tell them Santa doesn’t come to homes where siblings fight all the time. No kidding. Throw the name Santa out there and watch your little tyrants turn into little magical Christmas angels.
Not All Bah Humbug
Yes, I’ll admit, blackmailing the kids with Santa may be a bit Scroogey, but perhaps if you add a little explanation about why it’s so important to behave -- all year round, not just at Christmastime -- some good will come of this bit of blackmail. After all, shouldn’t we take advantage of Santa while we can?
