It’s Never Too Soon For Holiday Preparations

Have You Started Your Holiday Preparations Yet?

I’m baaaack! Yes my friends, it is that time of year again -- time for the holiday preparations to begin. Doth thou protest? You say school has just begun? My point exactly! School’s begun – let the holiday preparations begin!

Which Holiday Preparations Come First?

If you think that it’s nuts that I start thinking about Christmas in September, you have no idea how crazy life can get. Over the past years I have realized that if I begin my holiday preparations in September, when November and December roll around I am not nearly as frazzled as the rest of the holiday hosts and hostesses.

My first holiday preparations involve the making of Christmas cards. Each year we have a professional photograph taken and we have it made into a Christmas card and we send it to family and friends. However, we have the picture taken in September, the cards made in October and then we send our family the cards in November. Why November and not December? Because everyone gets Christmas cards in December. When you send yours out in November, they’re more likely to be opened, looked at and appreciated.

Let’s Get Those Holiday Preparations Going!

So, my friends, let’s get on the ball with the holiday preparations for this year. Yes, it’s only September. Just be thankful I didn’t wake you sleepyheads in July!

Comments

Every year we do the same thing with the Christmas cards we mail. Our friends and families love getting pictures of all us, especially the ones that haven't seen us in awhile. We also get them from our friends too and they end up on our refridgerator the entire year until the following Christmas.
