I Deserve a Christmas Vacation

Who’s going away for Christmas vacation this year? Unfortunately, I’m not. I went away for Christmas vacation last year, but this year my husband says it’s absolutely out of the question, so no Christmas vacation for Noel. Because of gas prices we can’t even take a road trip for Christmas vacation this year! Can you believe it?
Well, for those of you who do want to take a Christmas vacation this year, I have some great tips for you.
Pick a Place That’s Off-Season
When picking a place for your Christmas vacation, choose a place that’s off season. You’ll save yourself a ton of cash in hotel costs and restaurants and attractions sometimes lower their prices in the off season too.
Buy Gas Where It’s Cheap
If you’re driving for your Christmas vacation, fill up your tank in areas where gas prices are lower. Small towns usually have cheaper gas than large cities, so fill up in the rural areas that you drive through.
Cook for Yourself
Christmas vacation can be a lot cheaper if you cook for yourself. Instead of getting a standard hotel room, get one with a kitchenette so you can shop and prepare your own meals. You’ll save yourself a ton of money by not having to buy breakfast, lunch and dinner out every day.
