Here's A Quick Guide To Pool Toys
Pool toys make great gifts, even if you can't use them until the summer
Pool toys make great Christmas gifts for an upcoming vacation or for a surprise present of a backyard pool. And pool toys can even be used throughout the year as a fun way to remind the family of warmer days to come.
Fun in the sun
Okay, so most places don't have warm weather in the winter, but that doesn't mean that pool toys can be just as fun.
In your basement, you can fill an inflatable pool with sand for a sandbox.
The older kids can set up the basketball pool toys in side as well for a gentler form of indoor hoops. At least the ball won't make a lot of noise when it hits the floor.
Beach balls make for great games of volleyball or ‘don't let the ball touch the ground' games as well.
Save these for the pool
Of course, some pool toys are just going to have to wait for the summer.
Floating rafts and inner tubes are great ways to relax in the pool or sunbathe during the summer.
A good thing to note: if you buy a sturdy inner tube or raft pool toys, then you may also be able to use them as super fast sleds. Make sure that they are made of durable material or else they make burst on your way down a hill.
A net for pool volleyball or badminton is a great way to get the whole family moving.
For the younger ones
You can give pool toys to the younger children as well.
Life jackets or arm ‘swimmies' in bright colors will excite your younger ones while teaching them about being in the water. Of course, they'll probably want to wear them immediately around the house.
But we solved this excitement by letting our younger ones wear them in the bathtub from time to time.
Pool toys are a great way to give the entire family something to look forward to after Christmas.
