Five Myths About Buying Gift Bags For Your Wife

Filling gift bags for your wife with things she'll love

Gifts bags filled with luxurious treats are a great way to please even the pickiest of wives (not that I have one!). The trick with gift bags is that you have to be careful about the things that you choose. Not only do you want everything to be just what she wants, but you also want everything to compliment each other.

Don't worry, I'll explain.

What women really don't want

When it comes to gift bags, men sometimes assume that women want particular things. This is just not the case.

For example, women do not want pre-assembled gift bags.

Although some of these are very nice, they don't seem to be very thoughtful. Making up a gift basket on your own will make up for any poor choice in one of the items.

Women don't always want something that smells like a flower in their gift bags.

Here's something that I've learned over the years with my wife. Look at what she already uses and buy more of that. Especially if you enjoy the scent as well.

This looks like you're thinking of the both of you. Women love that.

More of what women don't want in their gift bags

Lingerie is just not a good idea for gift bags. You want to save that for a more private holiday celebration. It can seem like seduction more than romance on Christmas morning. And it might lead you no where near your intention.

Women don't like hodge-podge gift bags.

If you're trying to make your own gift bags, make sure everything goes together. If you pick up one scent, pick up more items in the same scent.

And for dispelling another myth, women do like to see more than soap in their gift bags. I've found that adding other things for a pamper-filled day is nice. You can add some relaxing music or a box of chocolates.

Gift bags are a great way to spoil the woman in your life, so take your time and fill it up with things that she'll love and brag to her friends about.
