Eight Amazing Christmas Stockings and Stuffers

Fill your Christmas stockings with these clever ideas

Did you know that there are whole websites dedicated to filling Christmas stockings? Entire stores selling nothing but stocking stuffers... I think I may be in Heaven! But not everyone loves Christmas stockings as much as I do. My sister, for example, shudders at the very thought, because as her kids get older, she finds it harder and harder to carry on this much beloved tradition.

Fortunately she has me to help her -- and now, so do you! Here are my eight favorite stocking stuffer ideas from websites that carry many more awesome gifts.

Eight fantastic stocking stuffer ideas

Here they are, in no particular order.

1. Electronic Cleaning Putty, $8.99

This stuff is brilliant for anyone with a computer -- and since that's just about everyone these days, it's a perfect stocking stuffer. It's putty you use to clean out the grooves in your keyboard, which are probably a lot more disgusting than you realize.

2. Roast Beef Bubble Gum, $3.49

OK, so it's kind of gross -- but like most great stocking stuffers, it will definitely get a laugh, and it's just weird enough to be cool. Perfect for men, who seem to get a kick out of actually chewing the stuff.

3. iPlunge phone stand, $5.95

This funny little stand is practical and amusing: a stand for your iPhone shaped like a toilet plunger. It adds whimsy to an otherwise boring office space.

4. Custom bookmarks, $12.95

This goes a bit above my usual $10 limit, but what the heck: they're really, really nice bookmarks. And they're practical, and they come in hundreds of designs. A three dollar splurge, but worth it.

5. Animal Hands, $6.99

Kids and silly adults will both enjoy these animal hand stickers. They fit over your hand and turn you into a living puppet. Perfect for storytellers, teachers, and maybe even a board meeting... if your boss has a sense of humor.

6. Tiger Driver, $5.99

This pocket sized drill isn't going to win any power contests, but it's perfect for small jobs where you don't feel like hauling the big drill out of storage.

7. The Slinky, $5.29

It's true: everyone loves a slinky. Even grown up grown ups get hours of (secret) fun running those things back and forth. They're stress relief in spring form. Or, if you're a kid, they're the world's easiest toy.

8. Bacon Strip Bandages, $4.99

This seems to be another man gift. For some reason, men feel more manly about protecting their wounds from infection when they can cover them with what looks like a slab of meat. I don't ask questions.

And there you have it: my top 8 stocking stuffer ideas. I hope you have a blast browsing them, and even more fun filling this year's Christmas stockings.
