Christmas Traditions Make the Season Brighter

Sharing Christmas Traditions with Friends and Family

Hi everyone. Henry here. I’m really into Christmas traditions and I’m hoping that we hear from a few of you out there that are into Christmas traditions too.

Henry’s Christmas Traditions

My family has some odd and some not-so-odd Christmas traditions that we follow each and every year. The first thing we do is bobbing for apples on Christmas Eve. I know that’s usually a Halloween tradition, but we do it at Christmastime too.

Then there are the Christmas traditions that occur on the morning of Christmas. We all like to see each other open gifts, so we each take turns opening one gift at a time rather than everyone opening their gifts at once. This allows us the time to enjoy the look on everyone’s faces when they’re opening their Christmas presents.

Of course there’s the tradition of Christmas dinner. Turkey isn’t just for Thanksgiving you know! Each and every year we have a nice turkey dinner with all the trimmings for Christmas. Then there’s cookies and pies and cake for dessert. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. Yes, without Christmas traditions it just wouldn’t feel like Christmas at all. This time of year, take time to enjoy the Christmas traditions in your family or make some new ones of your own.
