Halloween is right around the corner and that means it's time to engage in Christmas conversations once again. What, you ask, does Halloween have to do with Christmas? The swift-footed approach of the spooktacular holiday means we only have about two months to plan and shop for the greatest holiday season of all. Are you ready?
On Your Mark...
It's time to get organized. I don't care if that means a spiral notebook or a Franklin Covey planner, but you don't have a hope in heaven of making it through the upcoming Christmas season if you don't get yourself organized. And, for the record, yellow sticky notes do not count as organizational tools when it comes to the holidays.
Write down the things you need to do, the parties you have invitations to and the people you need to shop for. Teachers to shop for, friends to celebrate with, Christmas card mailing lists -- all of these things need to be tracked. If you don't track properly, you're going to be double-booking parties, forgetting to send your Great Aunt Sue a card and there will be one present missing from under the tree come Christmas morning.
Get Set...
Of course, making a list and checking it twice isn't the only thing you need to do to get ready for the Christmas season. Sure, Santa can get away with it, but you don't have an army of elves at your disposal.
